Sigrid’s Space will present four international artists over the course of a year: Sandra Johnston, a north-Irish performance artist, Mario Ybarre Jr., an American street art artist, Amitis Motevalli a female Iranian artist, and finally the Italian photographer Silvio Zangarini. Johnston, will be moving into an apartment in Gellerupparken as the first artist on August 1st and will in the coming two months create new works for the environment.

Based in the Social

The three artists and the group Asylum Dialogue Idea all work with the notion of the social and an inclusive aspect as an essential part of their practice. All of them focus on the process, the dialogue and the experience of art.

Sigrid’s Space wish to open up dialogue and cooperation and involve local community in projects as well as mediation.
