Daniel van der Noon
Daniel van der Noon is an self-taught artist, illustrator and writer based in London, Aarhus and Copenhagen. With a degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Leeds, his illustrations enjoy the freedom to explore a number of styles and themes.
Also taking an interest in dreams - with a light-hearted book of writings and illustrations in the pipeline - his tight-knit drawing style, wich permeates particularly in his diary pieces - such as "Chalk Talk"- attempts to fluidly bridge the gap between the visual and the linguistic.
Working with the UK-based art collective ThemLot, founded in Daniel's hometown Birmingham, he has participated in a number of collaborative exhibitions, workshops and projects in galleries in Birmingham, London and Bristol. Also working as an illustrator and artist in Denmark - with collaborators such as Aarhus Festuge, ArtRebels, TANK, V58 and IDOART - he has a number of shows penciled in for the year 2012.
